Local Information

Weymouth - Weymouth is situated on the south west coast of England about 40 kilometres west of Bournemouth. It has a population of about 80,000. The town became established as England's first health and pleasure resort through the patronage of King George III in the early 18th century. He started the tradition of sea bathing. The town has a fine Georgian seafront forming a backdrop to a long arc of golden sand 4 kms long around Weymouth Bay. The beaches are safe and clean.
